The BlackBerry Playbook is a tablet designed for the business professional. This device offers superb multitasking capabilities, excellent multimedia features and a fast processor. This tablet provides all the features you need to accomplish your work quickly and efficiently. Multitasking is simple and you can open several apps at once and switch back and forth between them with no hassle and without any lag time. There is a music player and GPS navigation, and it is Adobe Flash 10.1 enabled.

Aside from any business features offered, there are several multimedia features to keep you entertained. A 3MP front-facing camera, along with a 5MP rear-facing camera is available on the Playbook. These were the best cameras we saw on tablets and they produce the highest quality photos. Along with the photo capability, video calling is available and viewing video in full HD 1080p.

A drawback to the BlackBerry Playbook is it doesn’t offer as large of a selection of applications as Android or Apple devices offer. There still is a large selection to choose from, but it is much more limited in variety and quality. If downloading apps is important to you, you may want to check out their selection and make sure BlackBerry offers the apps you want before purchasing the device.

This tablet runs on a dual-core 1GHz processor. The device possesses a small amount of lag time after keys are pressed or while programs are opening. This product didn’t meet our full expectations with the processor because it wasn’t as fast as several similar devices, even with its advanced multitasking capabilities.

You can purchase the Playbook with 16, 32 or 64GB of memory. The amount of memory you purchase depends upon the amount of data you intend on storing on your device. If you plan to store a significant number of documents, movies, photos and music, you will want a large amount of memory.

The BlackBerry Playbook is a handsome tablet with a sleek design. The only drawback to its design is it is a small device and features a small display screen. This device is 5.1 inches long, 7.6 inches wide and only 0.4 inches thick. It has small dimensions, which increases its portability, but the small size also means a small display screen. The touchscreen display is only 7 inches with 600 x 1024 screen resolution. It is small enough that viewing movies or video chatting aren't as impressive as with a larger tablet. Browsing the internet and typing are also slightly harder on a small screen.

Even though the display screen is small, it is responsive. There is some noticeable lag time but not enough to cause any issues. Those who are new to this type of technology may not even notice any problems with the screen. You navigate the device using only your fingers because there is no stylus or digital pen. Your fingers do all the swiping, tapping, clicking and dragging on the tablet, which makes for a tactile, sensory experience.
